Status and Distribution

Adventive origin. A singleton was attracted to MV light at Landguard Bird Observatory on 1st June 2019 by Nigel Odin and was identified by Jean-François Landry, Ottowa, Canada. The specimen is considered to be of North American origin.

This North American species in known to feed on Physalis spp. (Solenaceae), as noted by Dr. K. Sattler based on information provided by Jean-François Landry, Ottowa (Odin & Higgott, 2021).
